Step 1 – Power Down and Access the Carriage
Watch this part0:08- Turn the printer completely OFF.
- Open the printer cover and front panel.
- Locate the carriage release knob.
- Loosen the knob to disengage the printer carriage.
- Manually move the carriage toward the center of the printer.
Step 2 – Remove the Old Capping Station Cap
Watch this part0:22- With the capping station fully exposed, locate the mounting screws on the cap.
- Use a magnetic screwdriver to remove the screws.
- Carefully pull the cap straight upward.
- Disconnect the ink tubes attached to the cap.
Step 3 – Install the New Cap
Watch this part0:46- Take the new capping station cap.
- Reconnect the ink tubes firmly to the new cap.
- Place the cap back into the capping station housing.
- Ensure the cap sits completely flush in its slot.
- Reinstall and tighten the mounting screws.
Step 4 – Verification
Watch this part1:22- Turn the printer back ON.
- Perform a nozzle check from the control panel. RESULT CHECK
- If the nozzle check shows perfect nozzles:
- The new capping station cap has been installed successfully.
- If issues persist:
- Recheck tube connections and cap seating.
