Launching the Setup Black Removal Wizard

- Open the Q menu.
- Select Setup Black Removal.
- Prepare a file typical of your production work, or select a test file from RIP system targets.
- Set the image size.
- Click Next.
Configuring Black Removal Test Range

- Set the minimum black removal percentage.
- Set the maximum black removal percentage.
- Set the increment value.
- Example configuration: Minimum: 30%
- Confirm that this configuration produces four charts: 30%
- Click Print Charts.
- Maximum: 75%
- Increment: 15%

- 75%
Selecting the Preferred Black Removal Value

- Print the generated charts.
- Review the printed results.
- Determine the highest black removal value that does not negatively impact print quality.
- Enter the selected chart value.
- Click Next.
Adjusting White Underbase in Semi-Transparent Areas

- Understand that this step does not affect 100% white underbase.
