Accessing the Set Maximum White Ink Wizard

- Open the Q menu.
- Select Set Maximum White Ink.
- Confirm the Set Maximum White Ink dialog opens.
Setting Up the White Ink Test Chart

- Set the page size of the print bed.
- Example: Set the page size to 14 by 16.
- Select the graphic to use as the print sample.
- Set the desired print size to allow multiple samples on one page.
- Click Next.
Configuring White Ink Range and Increments

- Set the minimum white ink value.
- Example: Set the minimum to 50%.
- Set the maximum white ink value.
- Example: Set the maximum to 100%.
- Set the increment value.
- Example: Use increments of 10%.
- Click Print Max White Ink Chart.
Printing and Reviewing White Ink Samples

- Locate the six generated jobs in the queue with white ink values from 50% to 100%.
- Right-click any job and select Print, or
- Click the Print icon above the queue.
- Print all samples.
- Compare opacity, color brightness, and vibrance across the samples.
Selecting the Preferred White Ink Percentage

- Return to the Set Maximum White Ink wizard.
- Enter the preferred white ink percentage in the field on the right.
- Example: Enter 60%.
- Click Next.

What you need
- A new print mode is created with the selected maximum white ink setting
- The new print mode is available in the Print Mode drop-down list
- The Print Mode drop-down list is located on the Q tab in the lower-right area of the screen
- Choose how to apply the white ink setting: Apply only to the queue
- Select Create a New Print Mode.
- Enter a name for the new print mode.
- Click Finish.
- Apply to the current print mode
- Create a new print mode
