This guide explains how to change the **Print Start Position** in DTF Station Pilot. This setting defines where the media begins on the printer bed and ensures prints start on the film—not on the metal guide. Understanding Print Start Position
Setting the Print Start Position
The print start position represents the distance from the **print head home position** to the start of the film. This measurement can be referenced directly on the printer. A correct setting ensures proper alignment and print quality.
Example shown: **55 mm** from the print head home position. Typical range when the film roll is loaded correctly: **50–60 mm**
In **DTF Station Pilot**, locate the **Print Start Position** setting. Enter a value within the recommended range based on how your film is loaded. Save the setting. Verifying the Setting
Run a **Nozzle Check** after setting the print start position.
Observe where the **confidence strip / color bar** prints: ✅ **On the film** → Print start position is set correctly. ❌ **On the metal guide at the top of the bed** → Adjustment is needed.
Adjust the print start position slightly. Perform another nozzle check. Repeat until the color bar prints fully on the film. Final Notes Print start position setup is now complete.
Always confirm print start position after reloading film. Small adjustments can make a significant difference. Correct setup ensures clean alignment and consistent print quality.
